Krypto is a math game we play in the Concord School District. The object of the game is to use arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division) on 5 cards to get the target card. There are many wonderful strategies we use in Krypto. You might recognize these as mathematical properties you learned in high school. ZERO STRATEGIES The Zero Property of Multiplication
ONE STRATEGIES(anything times zero is zero) a * 0 = 0 The Identity Property of Addition (a number plus zero is that number) a + 0 = 22 The Identity Property of Multiplication
WORKING BACKWARDS (any number times one is that number) a * 1 = a What two numbers could I use to get the target card?
DIVISIBILITY RULES Which numbers "go into" other numbers evenly?
